First off...Happy Birthday Debbie!
Now onto the post...I got tagged by Jackson and Jen but one says to list 20 things and another says 5 things. I will list whatever comes to mind.
1. For any Niner fans out there, I was born a few months after "The Catch" between Joe Montana and Dwight Clark. I was almost named Dwight. Then again, I was almost named Francis because I was born in the city.
2. I was a boy scout and still one at heart...always be prepared.
3. I love snacking on deli cold cuts.
4. I started listening to rap in 5th grade. It's all about ONYX baby! Slam!
5. When I was growing up, I wanted to be 6'7" to be one inch taller than Michael Jordan. That didn't happen (that's what I get for being Asian). Oh well, we have the same shoe size at least.
6. In high school, I was a studying nerd. I think I've kinda let go of that image or have I?
7. I used to make battlefields in my backyard as a kid. I would dig little holes, fill some with water and some empty with leaves on top. I would get my mom's sewing thread and make ropes. All this for my GI Joe's. I was pretty creative as a kid. I even made boats out of popsicle sticks for my action figures to cross these mini-lakes. Then the boats would fall apart because Elmer's school glue couldn't hold up on water.
8. If you didn't know already, I love basketball, football and baseball. I love to watch and play these sports.
9. I have lived in many cities including San Francisco, Manila, Daly City, El Sobrante, Las Vegas and Davis.
10. One time in 7th grade, this one friend of mine started to "develop" and most of the guys and girls were like because she was the first person to be kinda noticeable! So here's the story, we were playing kick ball on the cement school yard. We had bases painted on the ground with lines. I was standing between 1st base and 2nd base. She was on the other team and standing on first base as a runner. So anyways, someone kicked the ball. She starts running from 1st bast to 2nd base. I see her trip on a rock. So I'm stuck in this awkward situation. Things seemed to be going in slow motion. Now I'm faced with such a big decision at such a tender age of 12. A) Should I catch her on the way down? Of course that meant my hands on her "things" (because there was no way about and no other way for me to grab her and break her fall...she was falling forward running perpendicular right in front of me) and either get slapped or thanked later or B) Let her fall and just let it be. I chose to let her fall because that seemed like the safer bet.
